We’re Getting There ... encouraging Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in ACT schools

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework supports the use of technology to provide learners access to multiple means of representation, multiple means of expression, and multiple means of engagement. The Inclusive Technologies Team with the Student Support Section of the ACT Department of Education and Training have been using this model to increase the use of technologies to support learning for all students in the mainstream setting but with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of students designated disabilities. The team has explored various options: training sessions, presentations that demonstrate the use of combinations of technologies, providing software and hardware for trial, and the development of resource kits to support the trials and the classroom program.
