Project Atmosphere Australia Online is a teacher-developed, online project for school communities in Australia and across the world. It is based around a collaborative web site and email communities. Through learning about the weather the way it shapes each other's life styles, we gain a greater understanding of other cultures and the way people live. Long term friendships are the basis of the ongoing nature of the project, which involves people from academic institutions, meteorology bureaus and schools.
Following the successful pilot of an exciting new project in e-Learning with Year 6 students at Eastwood Public School in NSW, a virtual classroom is gradually being introduced in schools throughout Australia.
The Learning Place is Education Qld's gateway to online learning opportunities. This workshop will explore The Learning Place and its impact on education in Queensland. We will also see networks and groups are supported using online professional learning communities, and explore the ways that the Professional Learning Online Tool has helped schools align practice with emerging needs.
