At Southern Cross Primary School our aim is to promote student engagement in learning. In this presentation Esther Hall will focus on how students are engaged in a fun and creative project based ICT program at Southern Cross. She will outline the programs run at Southern Cross and the steps involved practically in implementing these programs. As the Multi Media Coordinator, Esther promotes literacy learning and purposeful communication through ICT. Esther has developed a unit of work known as

In this symposium, participants will have the opportunity to interact with ThinkQuest and Think.com staff from the USA and Australia, and past ThinkQuest winning students and coaches. The panel members have expertise in the many roles associated with these programs. The representation will include staff from Oracle Education Foundation, who provides Think.com and ThinkQuest as free services globally to primary and secondary schools. Also represented will be the Australian partner for ThinkQuest, as well as students and coaches from winning ThinkQuest teams,an educator and a former judge.
