ICT in Action

Learn about using 3dsmax to design and create 3D models which can be animated, explored, used for physics experiments and simulations. Participants will also learn about getting their final results exported to a variety of formats for practical use.
Australian school students participated in national benchmark testing administered by agencies of the federal government in May 2008. This workshop provides a hands-on experience of the online equivalent. The site is purpose built using existing and new content and a user friendly interface. The workshop will be conducted in a computer laboratory with access to the internet. No special software is needed apart from a current browser. MVTV is a student based, student run television station that beams live to over 700 pupils 3 times a week. This is a very hands on and practical seesion where you will learn how, you too, can achieve this with a video camera, a laptop and Visual Communicator and have heaps of fun along the way.
Explore the power of the student voice where they use the video camera and some good software to express their thoughts, feelings, ideas and creativity. Show them that if they know where it is they’re going before they start, the chances go way up that they’ll actually get to a place they really want to be. Its easy to use Adobe Premier Elements to make a great movie - whatever it may be - be prepared for lots of hands on learning and fun experiences.
